Deepening Connection with Plant Consciousness

In June, the gardens of Vermont are bursting with beauty, and we will spend a magical three days connecting deeply with the plants.

Plants communicate in ways that go beyond words—through energy, vibration, and subtle biochemical signals. In this workshop, we’ll explore the hidden intelligence of the plant world and experience how plants influence our well-being on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

Over these three days, we step into a slower rhythm—one where plants are no longer background, but living beings with presence, wisdom, and voice. This gathering is an invitation to step out of the ordinary and into the living conversation that surrounds us every day. Through guided practices, meditation, and quiet time in the garden and wild spaces, you will begin to sense the language of plants and discover new ways of relating to the natural world.

For centuries, healers, herbalists, and wisdom keepers have honored plants as teachers and companions. During this weekend, we carry that lineage forward—learning to listen with the heart, receive insight through intuition, and allow plants to guide us toward deeper balance and awareness. Developing communication with plants naturally deepens relationship, both at home and in the wild.

In this 3 day intensive we’ll practice techniques of meditation and plant communication that allow us to learn directly from the plants themselves. We’ll discover practical ways of tuning into plant consciousness, exploring their responses to touch, sound, vibration, and emotion. Through meditation, sensory engagement, and energy exchange, students will learn to attune to the subtle messages of the plants.

This intensive will be led by Sage L. Maurer, Director of The Gaia School of Healing. Sage founded The Gaia School of Healing in New England in 2001, and has trained over 50 rounds of apprentices over the past 24 years. In Southern Vermont, she teaches in partnership with ten acres of land covered in abundant healing plants and offers courses in sacred plant medicine, ethnobotany, ancestral herbalism, deep ecology, and eco-spirituality year-round.
