Trees have been our teachers, healers, and guides for thousands of years. From the sacred oaks of Europe to the healing neem trees of India, trees have always been at the heart of human culture, medicine, and spirituality. In this class, we will explore the deep relationship between people and trees, uncovering how different cultures have revered them as sources of food, medicine, shelter, and spiritual wisdom.

Over 6 class sessions you will learn about the medicinal uses of both common and exotic trees, exploring how around the world trees continue to be vital to traditional healing practices. Throughout this class, we’ll examine trees as more than just resources, but as living beings that shape cultures, ecosystems, and human health.

Whether you are an herbalist, nature enthusiast, or simply curious about the wisdom of the forest, this class will deepen your understanding of the medicine and magic of trees. Join us to explore their healing gifts, cultural significance, and enduring presence in our lives. Sage has been guiding students in the medicine of trees for 25 years, and for the first time will offer a course completely devoted to tree medicine.

Each class will focus on a handful of trees, with guidance around identification, harvesting, and medicine making. We will cover over 40 trees total, including evergreens, deciduous trees, and tropical trees.
