Training Community Herbalists
Since in 2001

The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education founded in 2001 has been offering plant medicine courses and workshops over the last 24 years based primarily in New England. We offer year long trainings, retreats, and immersion classes in folk and ancestral herbalism. In 2025-2026 we will also offer classes in Toronto, Canada, Sweden, and Colombia.

Our sacred plant medicine apprenticeships offer hands-on training in herbal medicine, ethnobotany, local plant ecology, ethical wildcrafting, growing medicinals, and medicine making. Students will learn how to identify and work with healing plants through the whole growing season. Our advanced students continue on to offer plant medicine to their communities around the world.
